Measured Building Surveys

Measured Building Surveys

A measured building survey is an accurate representation of a building which clearly shows all the pertinent features and provides a fully dimensioned as-built record. A combination of methods may be employed in achieving the deliverables, which could include detailed floor plans, elevations and 3D models.

As an alternative to manual measuring and recording, measured building surveys are more accurate and can eliminate the chance of human error. The level of detail can be tailored to individual requirements and range from basic dimensional information to very detailed recording of every feature, depending on particular requirements.

Precise Detail

Scansurv can provide floor plans, elevations and detailed sections as required, employing a range of techniques that are tailored to the level of accuracy and detail to suit your requirements. Surrounding external features and topography can also be recorded if required.

The information can be supplied in 2D or 3D, in a range of different formats, and the recorded data can be used to aid further development of design or to check the accuracy of what has been built against original plans and dimensions.

Scansurv provides support to architects, structural engineers and building designers with the planning and design of modification works, refurbishment, change of use, extensions, space planning and leasing. We also aid and support the decision-making process in the renovation and conversion of domestic, commercial and industrial buildings.

Measured Building Surveys Can Be Used for the Following Purposes and More:

  • As built projects
  • Building Refurbishments and Remodelling
  • Repair and Maintenance
  • Surveying and Estimating
  • Insurance Recording
  • Property Valuations
  • Architectural Design
  • Interior Design

The use of state-of-the-art laser scanning to capture 3D data of a building or structure enables us to provide measured building surveys in precise and highly detailed 2D and 3D formats. Large areas can be covered in a short period of time and detailed output can be provided quickly, aiding programme and the time constraints that are often associated with construction projects.
